My Favourite Day of the Week

My favourite day of the week is Saturday, because it´s the weekend.

I usually get up about 9:30 am. I have cereal with milk for breakfast, I do the homework and then I go shopping.

Around 14:00, we eat, and after tiding up the kitchen, I check my email on my computer, and I read some newspapers and magazines.

In the evening, if the weather is good, I go for a walk or cycle with my family.

We sometimes go to the cinema or have dinner with our friends, and we always go to bed late, because on Sundays we do not have to get up early.

My favourite day of the week is Saturday because it is the first day of the weekend. I get up very lata and I have breakfast in the dining room .Then I do housework.

I usually have lunch at home and then I watch TV or I go for a walk with my friends. In the evening I go out with my friends to a pub

My favourite day of the week is Sunday. I usually get up late and have 'chocolate and churros' for breakfast.

In the morning, I go to the park with my nephews, and they take their bicycles with them.

At half past two we go back home for lunch. Sometimes my mother cooks paella and other times she roasts chicken with potatoes in he oven.

After lunch I watch television, I play ludo with the children, I do puzzles or I read tales.

My favourite day of the week is Saturday, because the weekend starts.

On Saturday morning I usually stay in bed until 8:30. I have breakfast and then I often go shopping with my mother.

When me finish me normally do the housework. After lunch I sometimes go for a walk, when the weather
is fine.

In the evening I go to the cinema or I have a toast with my friends. We never go to bed before midnight – Nobody works the next day.

My favourite day of the week is Saturday, because it`s the weekend! I get up at 7:30 because don't work on Saturday. Then I have a bath and I have coffee for breakfast.

After breakfast I iron, then I cook the lunch. After lunch I watch TV, then me and my family visit my friend.

In the evening my parents usually invite me and my family for dinner. After dinner I do the homework, I watch some movie and then I have a bath and go to bed.

After breakfast I visit my daughter. Sometimes I don't work on Saturday because I am tired after the week.

In the evening I watch TV and I play chess witch my husband. After dinner I usualy read a book or watch a movie. I go to bed above 12 o'clock.

After breakfast I go for a walk in my garden. Then I have lunch. After lunch I sleep for two hours.

In the evening I usually watch football. After dinner I watch some movie on the TV and I go to bed above 12 o'clock.

I´m Lucy, a housewife. As you know I have a big family and a dog too, and I take care of them all.

My favourite day of the week is Monday, can you believe it? Yes, because at last I stay alone at home without either children running and shouting all over the house or a husband doing DIY – Just me and my puppy “Lili”.  She sleeps all the morning and my house is quietlly enough…

First, I usually get up early in the morning, at about 7.00 am and I start doing all the house stuff like making the beds, tidying and cleaning the rooms and so on. Secondly I lay the table and we have lunch and talk about the work routine. Later we watch the documentaries on the TV or, if the weather is good, we go for a walk.

We usually stay in bed until 11.00 and all my house is silent again, and I can read and study my favourite English lessons.

Hello!!!

I´m Beatriz Mateo, my favorite day is Friday, because I go with my friends to the bar in the evening and night.

I get up at 9.00. I take a quick shower then I go shopping for some fish, fruit, milk, etc. Afther shopping I have a coffe and toast or something sweet for breakfast. After breakfast I help my mother with cooking.

My family usually have lunch at two o´clock. After lunch I watch news and then I practise static bicycle for about 30 minutes.

In the evening I usually go with my friends to the bar. We drink wine, beer and eat tapas, and at 11.30 or 12.00 or …… we go home – THE END OUR FRIDAY WITH FRIENDS!

Foreign In London

Mary is a girl from Spain, she lives in a flat in the centre of London. Her flatmate is Guadalupe, she is from Italy.

Mary is a Spanish teacher at a Primary School, and Guadalupe is a student of English.

Mary doesn't like London, because the weather is so cold and food is bad for her, but she likes Hyde Park, and the people is very kind and the cafés are very agreable, because people don't smoke and she loves tea.

Guadalupe likes London because she loves big cities, and meeting new people.

A Day In Rome

We are reporters from The Illustrated News. Our names are Rosa and Lucía and our interviewee is Mari Carmen. She is a teacher at the Instituto Cervantes in Verona and now she is staying in Rome for business and she is pleased to answer the following questions.

Q: What places would you like to visit?
A: First of all I will go to "Trattoria Napolitana" in Via Benetton; people say it is a good restaurant where the waitresses are very nice and good-looking. Besides, the food is excellent and it is not very expensive. Then I´m going to Fontana di Trevi, San Pedro's Cathedral in order to go shopphing.As you know, Rome is famous for its fashion designers. At night I will go to the Coliseum to have fun and I will have a drink whit my friends.

She is from Romania, her name is Cornelia and she likes London for visiting the theather, museums and the public park.
